30 days of JOY

Waking up one morning I decided it would help me to understand myself better to seek after joy. I remember 4 years ago, not knowing who I was, what I liked to do, or what made me happy. It had been so long since I allowed myself to feel anything. I had become numb to life. I think life goes through cycles. We grow and come back to similar ideas, but not hopefully where we were before. We come back with more understanding and expansion. So exploring the ideas of joy seemed exciting to me. An opportunity for growth, openness, and aliveness. Because in the end, who couldn’t use a little more joy and happiness? That just sounds fun and exciting. So on this journey, I will share my experiences with exploring joy and what it has meant to me.

There are three rules:

Pick one thing to try for that day for the next 30 days.

It needs to be simple.

It needs to be low cost.

Joy doesn’t have to be hard, complicated, or expensive. It can come from greater awareness, compassion, grace, and resiliency. For me this is time for greater expansion and inner growth. It is time to leap into something new and exciting, in simple ways. I hope you will join with me.
