Perspective

In the storms of life, some things are only understood by letting go. What looks wrong to others and even to ourselves, may actually be the right thing to do. And what looks to be darkness, could be things being born new. Perspective and how we look at our challenges makes all the difference. I am grateful for the support and eyes on our family from all sides. When challenges come, it is sometimes hard to see, but I am grateful for a new perspective. It is a gift I will try to always remember.

Perspective

So dark and alone

By virtue of perspective

Gift was rejected

Where did we go wrong?

Went in faith, planets aligned

Choices supported

We went in faith but

Got slammed into a brick wall

Painful falling down

Mistrust the future

Perspective shifts everything

Wounds seen in new way

Rejection could be

Space to breathe, think, loosen, calm

Once heavy, alone

Still, supported, loved

Carried, prayed for all around

Learning step by step

Choice to see great loss

Kicked in the face rejection

Maybe turn the other cheek

Then give will freely

Let go, higher noble course

Nothing wavering

Force or given free

One destroys, one empowers

Choose love, lose to gain

Hold on to anger

Force looses permanently

So like bamboo, flex

Strong but supple, bend

To churning gale, don’t react

This storm will pass by

So sing in the rain

When disguised blessings come down

Lose the umbrella

Hope lost when struggle

Gained when let go, receive light

Eyes open to God

Our child also his

Then nothing is truly lost

The lessons will come

Faith says what is next

Remember God at the helm

Be patient and wait

You did your part, so

It’s no longer yours, release

Leave the rest to God
