Truth Found Again

Weeding.jpg

Went in faith and hope

Motives were questioned, then fell

Left in doubt and fear

Something wrong with self

Fundamentally broken

A lie believed, cursed

When once felt self good

Now lost, insecure, afraid

Angry, unworthy

Must go back to where

Lie was believed, accepted

Then realize the truth

Dark talisman nail

In neck can then be pulled out

Light can flow again

Relief of burden

Like blind man given new sight

Appreciate light

Can love self again

No longer droop in self-doubt

Understand better

Who I am, being

Of light and truth, holy, good,

Worthy, and perfect

So please remember,

Faith and doubt are enemies

One must be chosen

Only one can lift,

Heal, give peace to the soul, save

From enfolding dark

Beware lest one doubt

Taken as “the gospel truth”

Leads to many more

Go back to the lie

Weed out tangled web of doubt

To find great relief

Possibilities

Again unfold, give way to

Creativity

Getting lost helps to

Appreciate getting found

Life held close and dear

To know loved by God,

Unwavering devotion,

Cared for all along
