Mind where ego lives

When heart followed ego lost

No room for them both

Ego stops progress

Keeps a man held fast in fight

Follow or stay put

Ego has to die

The ultimate sacrifice

If heart is followed

Into unknown lands

Falling into great abyss

As the mind sees it

Mind will try to preserve

Protect like a mother hen

To keep status quo

Dragging heart to its room

By the hair till it learns lesson

“Stay put where belong”

Too crowded in room

If heart is to be followed

Ego must relent

When ego is fed

Result torment, death of true self

Self that wants freedom

To feel, see, know truth

Ego home, in prison cells

Place for souls to die

Agreed upon fate

Catastrophe of small life

When could have been great

Hidden under ego

Mozart or Leonardo

Possibilities

Let go of ego

Foes job known, don’t repeat road

Believe there is more

Fear holds down until

Awaken, no need to run

Climb, one up, beat, force

Cease unwinnable

Battle of hells perfection

Wasted life of hate

Envy, cheating, lies

Pointless quests lead to ashes

Never satisfaction

Pursue what is real

Ego may be strong now but

Influence loosens

As heart is followed

Doesn’t matter how many times

Ego sent off the cliff

It takes practice, guts

Realize ego illusion

Need to know the truth

Choice what to believe

When desires of heart heard

True self is the victor

What feels like falling

To death, is really comet
