Progress
Over the summer I recorded myself playing the piano that I ended up editing and putting up on my
.
But I wasn’t very happy with them because the recording equipment was turned low, so there was a lot of noise from the system that ended up on the recordings. Needless to say the sound quality was poor. So over my fall break I spent time at the U in their recording studio in the basement to rerecord all the songs I played before. It wasn’t easy because I had to figure out all the equipment and how to hook up the auxiliary and microphones and be sure the computer program was actually receiving a signal. It took effort because I am not very tech savvy and I ran into problems over and over again. But my instructor from my music technology class was willing to take the time over his break to help me. Bless him. Now I can go in the studio any time and set everything up myself with confidence and have it actually work! I am proud of the result! The sound is much more clean and clear. As I was listening, I truly loved how these songs sounded. I am a musician and I love it. I am proud of the work I’ve done and the progress I’m making. It is just so satisfying and empowering.
